South Decatur outlasts Twisters in 5 sets

GREENSBURG — South Decatur twice rallied from one-set deficits Thursday to pull out a 21-25, 25-20, 19-25, 25-18, 15-11 volleyball victory against Oldenburg Academy.

Aniston Bostic recorded 14 kills, four blocks and two aces; Makayla Somers tallied 39 assists and two aces and Zophia Sharp had 31 digs and two aces to lead the Cougars (18-2). Paige McQueen also served two aces.

Also for South Decatur, Sharp notched 13 kills and three blocks, and Taylor Somers added nine kills and 13 digs. McQueen posted 18 digs and two blocks, and Makayla Somers had two blocks.

Cougars coach Devin Sutliff also praised the play of Raegan Benge coming off the bench in the fifth set and contributing to the win.
