Terry Lee Piper

COLUMBUS

Terry Lee Piper, of Columbus, entered into eternal rest on September 24, 2024, at the age of 59. Born on May 24, 1965, in the vibrant city of Amarillo, Texas, Terry was a man whose laughter and adventurous spirit brought light into the lives of all who knew him.

Terry’s journey through life was marked by the deep bonds of family and friendship. He was the cherished brother of Morris (Angela) Piper of Columbus, Indiana. Terry was preceded in death by his loving parents, Morris Sr. and Betty Jean Piper, whose lessons of kindness and humor he carried forward in every aspect of his life.

For over 25 years, Terry dedicated his working hours to the tobacco fields, where he was known for his strong work ethic and the camaraderie he shared with his colleagues. His love for the outdoors extended beyond his professional life; Terry was an avid fisherman and an enthusiastic spelunker, often found exploring the depths of caves or patiently waiting by the water’s edge for the next big catch.

His stories, often filled with humor and warmth, will be greatly missed and lovingly recounted.

As we say goodbye to Terry, we reflect on a life well-lived and a man who was truly one of a kind. Terry will be laid to rest in Garland Brook Cemetery, where he will be reunited with his mother, resting peacefully by her side.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, Terry will be inurned at the Garland Brook Cemetery on Friday, October 4th, 2024, at 12:00 p.m.
