Ivy Tech Community College Columbus science faculty members are offering a free stargazing event this weekend for anyone interested in learning more about observing objects visible in the night sky.
The event will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Greensburg State Fishing Area on the west side of Greensburg off State Road 3. Ivy Tech Columbus faculty members Tom Sobat and Cyrus Screwvala will lead the event.
The event is open to the public, and all community members are welcome. Gates will open at 7:45 p.m. Saturday. Attendance is limited to those planning to participate; no fishing, please. The Ivy Tech Science Department telescope will be setup for nighttime observations.
