Jets take fourth in Greensburg invite

GREENSBURG — The Hauser boys cross-country team finished fourth Thursday in the Greensburg Invitational.

Lawrence North won with 30 points to 82 fo Batesville, 99 for Greensburg and 124 for the Jets.

Nolan Dailey led Hauser with a third-place finish in 16 minutes, 42.5 seconds for 5,000 meters (3.1 miles). Max Moore took 26th in 18:34.4, while Mason Moore was 31st (18:49.9), Koleson Gernentz 36th (19:08.8) and Braydon McFarland 45th (19:50.2)

Trinity Lutheran finished 12th with 301 points. Oliver Eggersman took 16th in 18:15.8, while Nathan Negrete was 43rd (19:41.8), Sam Dyer 107th (23:26.1), Stephen Trager 119th (24:38.3) and Braxton Sinclair 123rd (25:12.3).

South Decatur had two runners. Nicholas Hunter finished 49th in 19:54.8, and Luke Poling was 126th in 25:47.2.

South Decatur’s girls finished eighth with 186 points. Batesville won with a Perfect 15.

Summer Masters led the Cougars with a 28th-place finish in 26:34.0. Kate Schoettmer took 37th in 26:51.3, while Bri Benefiel was 41st (29:32.0), Andrea Brogan 57th (29:34.1) and Brooklyn Ortman 60th (30:10.2).

Trinity had three runners. Cheyenne Campbell finished 27th in 24:47.8, Elizabeth Downey took 36th in 26:44.2 and Emma Mellencamp was 41st in 27:45.6.
