The Columbus Chapter of Phi Beta Psi held its semi-annual purse bingo event on Sept. 24 at The Commons. Ticket sales from the event raised money for cancer research.

The event also included a raffle and 50/50 drawing. Catering was provided by Boy Scout Troop 549.

With the money raised at events, Phi Beta Psi awards six grants to doctors working to find a cure for cancer, one of which was awarded to Dr. Nawal Kassem of Indiana University Cancer Center in Indianapolis.

The chapter’s next purse bingo is scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, at The Commons.
