Just Friends offers community support

Just Friends has supported me during one of the most challenging times of my life. I am a caregiver for my adult son who lives at home and attends the Just Friends Adult Day Program.

Until recently, I was also a caregiver for my other adult son, who bravely fought glioblastoma (brain cancer). Caregiving can be demanding and exhausting, but Just Friends played a crucial role in easing some of the challenges I faced during this difficult time. Their support made a meaningful difference in my journey.

Just Friends is a welcoming and safe environment where my son can socialize and spend quality time with friends. It truly enriches his life and gives him a sense of community.

Aside from the day program, Just Friends stepped in and offered support with their healthcare coordination and caregiver coaching. Just Friends’ nurses ensured my son attended all necessary medical appointments and helped get a home health company in the home. Just Friends was incredibly responsive to my concerns and needs regarding my son in their program. They provided the support and guidance I needed, ensuring that both he and I felt cared for and understood.

Their staff consistently checked in on my family, ensuring we had the support we needed. With all of the help and support from Just Friends, I was able to spend invaluable time with my son who was facing a terminal illness.

I encourage anyone who provides care for a loved one to visit Just Friends and talk with staff to learn more about what they offer and how they can help.
