COLUMBUS
Amy W. Roth, 87, of Columbus, passed from this life at 1:37 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Silver Oaks Health Campus.
Mrs. Roth was born November 12, 1936, in Florence South Carolina, the daughter of Julian B. and Amy L. Jones Weston.
She married David N. Roth August 25, 1961; he preceded her in death January 11, 2009.
Amy was a graduate of Duke University, and Union Theological Seminary.
She was a former executive director at Pro Bono in Indiana Judicial District 14, church organist, church music director and worked at various insurance agencies as a CPCU
Amy enjoyed reading, classical music, watching birds, playing the piano and organ and spending time with family.
Survivors include her children, Caroline (Scott) Fowler of North Carolina, and Rebekah (Brian) Walsh of Columbus and Philip (Megan) Roth of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Matthew (Kathleen) Fowler, Rachel Fowler, Patrick Walsh, Reilly (fiance Marley) Walsh, Spencer Walsh, Michael Fowler, Charlie Roth, Matison Walsh, Zoey Roth and Luci Roth; great-grandchildren, Rylee and Cooper Fowler; sister, Alice (Jim) McLaughlin of St. Louis, MO; nieces, Julia McLauglin of Chicago and Janet (Pete) Olson of Knoxville, MD and great-nieces, Pearl and Harriet Olson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
In keeping with Amy’s wishes, cremation will take place.
A private celebration of life service will be at a later date.
