Helen J. Beasley

COLUMBUS

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Helen Jean Beasley (nee Nichter), passed away peacefully, on October 6th, 2024, at the age of 89.

Predeceased by her son, Garry Beasley, and granddaughter, Paige French, Helen is survived by her faithful husband of 70 years, Ben A. Beasley; her children, Terry Beasley, Perian Liffick, Dave (Carmen) Beasley; her eleven grandchildren; and her twenty great-grandchildren. She loved her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her happiest days were when surrounded by family. Her grandchildren already miss hearing Mamaw’s affectionate term of endearment, “Sugar.”

Ben and Helen married in 1954 and raised their children while growing Ben’s tool and die business. Helen was a longtime member of Memorial Baptist Church in Columbus, Indiana, where she served in the women’s circle using her gifts of compassion and acts of service. Helen loved Jesus and often marveled at God’s grace throughout her life, “God has been so good to me.” She will be remembered and missed for her loving spirit and sweet disposition.

Please join us for a memorial service to celebrate Helen’s life on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Memorial Baptist Church, 2320 7th St, Columbus, Indiana 47201. Visitation will be held 9:30-11:00 AM, followed immediately by a memorial service. Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Vernon, Indiana.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Main Street Hospice in Franklin, IN.
