BROWNSTOWN — Brown County cruised to a 25-11, 25-22, 25-10 sweep of Switzerland County in Thursday’s first round of the Brownstown Central volleyball sectional.
The Eagles reward? a semifinal matchup with the Class 2A No. 1 and host Braves.
Grace Johnson recorded 13 assists and three aces, and Zoe Jackson had 16 digs and three aces to lead Brown County (7-13). Aubree Denton pounded eight kills.
Also for the Eagles, Johnson tallied seven kills and six digs, and Ella East added five kills. Denton had nine assists and two aces, and Hailee Darnell notched six digs.
