GREENSBURG — South Decatur opened sectional volleyball play Thursday with a 25-15, 25-16, 25-13 win against Southwestern (Shelby).
Aniston Bostic recorded 15 kills and five blocks, and Zsophia Sharp had 21 digs and four aces to lead the Cougars (25-4). Makayla Somers tallied 26 assists.
Also for South Decatur, Sharp pounded six kills, and Paige McQueen added five kills and 12 digs. Elizabeth Bennett notched 12 digs, and Taylor Somers served two aces.
The Cougars will play host North Decatur in the semifinals at 11 a.m. Saturday. The sectional final is at 6 p.m. Saturday.
