Mulch and Compost Loading — 2 to 4:30 p.m., Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District Yard Waste Site, 720 S. Mapleton St., Columbus. Bartholomew County residents are welcome to self-load mulch and/or compost from our Yard Waste Site free of charge. $10 per pick-up truck size load of mulch or compost. Jennings County

GHOST WALK AND MYSTERY DINNER — 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Jennings County Historical Museum, 134 E. Brown St., Vernon. The Ghost Walk starts at 6:30 p.m. with the last tour at 9:30 p.m. Local students reenact ghost stories and Jennings County folklore. Guided tours begin at the museum on Brown Street with the first story: the Devil of Weston Bottoms. $3 for 8 years old and up; children 7 and under tour the ghost stories for free. Enjoy hot chocolate, apple cider, and snacks for sale at the concession area inside the museum. Sit by the firepits and talk with our favorite fortune teller at the VARDO wagon. Historical society volunteers cook and serve the Mystery Dinner for $20 per person (all attendees must have a ticket regardless of age). Reservations are required for the dinner by calling the historical society at 812-346-8989.
