GREENSBURG — South Decatur jumped out to a 39-0 halftime lead and went on to post a 58-0 win against Irvington Prep to close the regular season.
Corbin Johnson had 15 carries for 252 yards and five touchdowns and kicked two extra points to lead the Cougars (4-4). Kagen Wren, Toby Bishop and Emmytt McFarland all ran for a score, and Elan Phelps returned an interception for a touchdown. Evyn Muckerheide ran for a 2-point conversion.
Jayden Jackson-Ray led the defense with 11 tackles and three sacks.
South Decatur will host West Washington Oct. 25 in its sectional opener.
