More than two dozen shelter dogs and cats from Columbus were adopted at the Mega Adoption event in Indianapolis, which helped surpass the city’s cat adoption record. A total of 14 dogs and 11 cats from Columbus were adopted at the event.

A photo taken by The Republic’s Joe Harpring of 7-month-old Bailey Sasse of Columbus, surrounded by pumpkins at Nienaber’s outdoor market, was spotted on the cover of the Bangkok Post in Thailand after it was picked up by the Associated Press network.

Fairlawn Presbyterian Church nursery school hosted its third annual Father’s Night, where fathers helped their children decorate pumpkins for Halloween, build with blocks and paint pictures.
