Scaring up some Halloween haunts
We’ve scared up a few Halloween-oriented options in south-central Indiana for you during the month for a little fright-night fun.
- When Darkness Falls, Cera Sports Park and Campground, 3989 S. County Road 525E, Columbus. Haunted trail through the woods every Friday and Saturday in October, 8 to 11 p.m. $15 per ticket, with no lights Blackout Nights this Friday and Nov. 2. $25 per person.
- Sammy’s Ghost House, for children at Cera Sports Park and Campground, 3989 S. County Road 525E, Columbus. Held 6 to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. $5 per ticket.
- The Haunting at Shireman Homestead, 7060 W. County Road 200N a few miles west of Columbus. Cheryl Moore has built a reputation for mixing fear and fun, with everything through the years ranging from a headless horseman to children’s activities to a petting zoo. - kidscommons Haunted Museum, 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 27, 309 Washington St. in downtown Columbus. Here’s the message at kidscommons.org: “Enter through the secret door and try to escape the Other World.
