Join the Jennings County Historical Society for their Fall fundraiser, the Ghost Walk and Mystery Dinner.

The Ghost Walk starts at 6:30 p.m. with the last tour at 9:30 p.m. Local students reenact ghost stories and Jennings County folklore. Guided tours begin at the museum on Brown Street with the first story: the Devil of Weston Bottoms.

Tickets for the Ghost Walk may be purchased during touring hours at the historical society’s museum in Vernon. $3 for 8 years old and up; children 7 and under tour the ghost stories for free.

Enjoy hot chocolate, apple cider, and snacks for sale at the concession area inside the museum. Sit by the firepits and talk with our favorite fortune teller at the VARDO wagon.

In addition to the Ghost Walk, historical society volunteers cook/serve the Mystery Dinner for $20 per person (all attendees must have a ticket regardless of age). Reservations are required for the dinner by calling the historical society at 812-346-8989. Dinner guests enjoy delicious food served in a most mysterious, Halloween atmosphere in Vernon.
