Book boxes, book bundles available at library

The Bartholomew County Public Library is offering Book Boxes for teens and Book Bundles for children and adults.

The library’s teen Book Boxes are similar to fee-based OwlCrate and LootCrate, without the fee. Bartholomew County teens in grades seven-12 can sign up monthly for the service.

The box contains one to two library books, selections based on the teen’s preferences, and items such as crafts, bookmarks and other items.

Book Bundles, for children and adults, are an option for those using curbside service.

After filling out a form at mybcpl.org, librarians will pick out materials based on reading preferences, and for kids, based on preferences and reading levels.

Book Bundles will consist of five to 10 items, books, audiobooks, large-print and more. Patrons may pick up the items curbside or call the library’s outreach department at 812-379-1278 for home delivery.

The library and its Hope branch have closed to foot traffic and are operating mainly via curbside pickup.
